hatarakiman_hiroko_matsukata.jpgHataraki Man is a manga by Moyoco Anno, serialised in the seinen magazine Morning. It has been adapted into a TV anime, which screened in Japan from October to December 2006 and a drama that aired from October 2007 to December 2007. The story centres on 28-year old Hiroko Matsukata, editor at the magazine Weekly JIDAI . Talented and hard-working, Hiroko’s colleagues refer to her as Hataraki Man (literally “working man”) because of her dedication to her job. But despite her successes in the workplace, she struggles with moments of self-doubt and with the challenge of balancing life and career.

Note:Hiroko Matsukata is a woman who works for a magazine company. She puts all she has into her work, and is known as a strong, straight-forward working girl, who can at will turn herself into Hataraki man (working man) mode. Despite Hiroko’s success at work, her life lacks romance. Even though a hard worker, she’d leave early anytime to go on a date. Too bad her boyfriend is even bigger a workaholic than Hiroko. Source

Is Kyla Ebbert too sexy To Fly?

Posted by admin on 17th November 2007

Two months ago, she boarded a Southwest Airlines flight from San Diego to Tucson. Before the flight took off, she was escorted into the jetway by a customer service representative, who asked her to change her clothes.

She didn’t have any other clothes with her — she had no luggage — so the customer service rep told her to go home and change, then get a later flight. She said she had an appointment that she couldn’t change, so after getting a lecture on appropriate attire, she was allowed to re-board the plane. But once back in her seat, she had to cover her legs with a blanket for the entire flight.

Kyla wore the same outfit to the show this morning (see below).

At first, when she appeared on the set, it didn’t seem like her outfit was so inappropriate. It was clear that her skirt was pretty short, but it didn’t seem worthy of getting a lecture from a customer service representative on how to dress.

But when she sat down, we learned just how short that skirt was — when she flashed our national television audience. Yeah, that skirt was short. source

Here are two questions Kyla Ebbert is asked constantly after nearly being kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight because the airline staff thought her outfit was too revealing. The first: Were you wearing panties under your skirt? The second: Has Playboy contacted you?
The answer, to both, is yes. And when Playboy asked her to pose, Kyla’s answer also was, “Yes.”

Rwanda trip delayed as Paris shops

Posted by admin on 9th November 2007

TOKYO, Japan (AP) — Socialite Paris Hilton may not be ready to head off to Rwanda to do good deeds, but she was up to judging a beauty contest in Tokyo on Tuesday.

Hilton and her younger sister, Nicky, played judges for the Miss Universe Japan contest, each selecting one finalist. Another 13 or so finalists will be selected next month.

Hilton has vowed since she got out of jail for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case that she will try to improve her bad-girl image. She had announced plans to do charity work in Rwanda this month for The Playing for Good Foundation, but later decided to postpone that trip.

Her appearance at a Tokyo fashion boutique to judge the contest packed the room with photographers and TV cameras, and gawking bystanders lined the street outside. “I love Tokyo,” Hilton said. “The shopping is great.” Japan has the reigning Miss Universe, Riyo Mori. Mori is the first Japanese to win the pageant since 1959 Source http://edition.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/11/06/parishilton.tokyo.ap/

Microsoft Says Farewell CIO Stuart L. Scott CIO

Posted by admin on 8th November 2007

stuart.jpg Microsoft announced the firing of the now-former chief information officer (CIO) Stuart L. Scott.
The Redmond company admits that the dismissal was due to Stuart’s foul play, but refused to give any details regarding the matter.

The company only commented that the former CIO had to leave his position “after an investigation for violation of company policies.” There’s no hint on what violations was Stuart guilty of, and given Microsoft’s corporate policy it’s most likely that the whole affair will remain secret.
Still, Stuart must’ve crossed some significant lines, given the quick development of events. And no, running Ubuntu instead of Vista or using Apple’s iPhone just don’t qualify.

Scott came to Microsoft in July 2005. Previously he held various positions at General Electric Co. (GE) for 17 years. He was recognized by CIO Magazine as one of the top 100 CIOs in 2003.
Besides being the CIO for several Microsoft divisions, Stuart also held the position of vice president and executive sponsor for Microsoft’s Operational Enterprise Risk Management. Source
