ICHINOSEKI, Iwate prefecture: A woman, Masako Chiba, has been arrested for stabbing to death a Buddhist priest and his mother on the premises of his temple in Ichinoseki, Iwate prefecture, Mainichi Shimbun reported.

Masako, 45, is a shopkeeper and she stands accused of robbing and murdering Hideyoshi Suzuki, 59, the chief priest of a temple in Ichinoseki, and his 81-year-old mother Umeko.

Masako Chiba fatally stabbed the victims in the living room of their home on the premises of the temple on the night of June 11, and stole more than 100,000 yen, local police said.(source)
