Japanese ‘Thank you very much’

Domo Arigatou is ‘Thank you very much’ in English and it is use in formal conversations. As for young Japanese, they simply say ‘Arigatou’! ‘Arigatou’ itself could mean ‘Thank you very much’ and ‘Domo Arigatou’ can also be use as ‘Thank you very much indeed’.

For example:
Japanese(Ramaji)
Linda : Sumimasen, ohashi wo kudasai.
Rie : Hai, dozo.
Linda: Domo Arigatou

English:
Linda: Excuse me but please get me a chopsticks.
Rie: Ok, here you are.
Linda: Thank you very much(indeed).
