Koki Kameda and Rexon Flores fight video clip

Japanese flyweight and notorious fighter Koki Kameda returned to the boxing ring after an eight month absence with a ten round unanimous points decision win over Filipino Rexon Flores on Saturday night in Chiba City, Japan, presented by Kyoei Promotions.

21 year-old Kameda 17-0 (11), who last fought in July 2007, dominated the match after dropping 25 year-old Flores 18-4-4 (9) in the opening round. Judges scored the fight for Kameda 100-90, 100-91 and 100-91.

One of the most well known active boxers in Japan, southpaw Kameda is a former WBA junior flyweight world champion.

Koki Kameda and his father/trainer Shiro were disciplined by the Japan Boxing Commission last October whilst working the corner of Daiki Kameda, the younger brother of Koki.

The Kameda family were publicly criticised by the Japanese media after Shiro and Koki encouraged Daiki to commit fouls in his losing effort to WBC flyweight champion Daisuke Naito on October 11. The youngest Kameda, Daiki, received a one-year suspension for his in the ring actions.
