Taka and Toshi are popular Japanese comedy pair. They are originally from Hokkaido prefecture, northern Japan.
The comedy topic “Obei ka!” which means “You aren’t Westerner!” is booming around in Japan!
In this Television show, they are talking about meeting old friends.

I hate these guys because they are racist. They are not funny but in fact they are offensive. You should not laugh at them. You should think about what implications their routine has. Goodbye.

They don`t bother me but what do you expect from a country that fingerprints all foreign visitors to it each time but doesnt do the same for Japanese people? What do you expect from a country which has a paper called the “Japan Times” and in its “views from the street” article- not one dissenting voice was published from Japanese and foreign residents about the new regulations? I know Japanese and foreign residents who are disgusted by the Japanese racist attitude but when the major english language newspaper wont publish “ordinary people” objections, what can you do? Thankfully, one or two writers from the paper are raising a stink.
Next time you go to renew your Alien registration card remember that its not the membership for the ET fan club.
In the future the Japanese will probably justify electronically tagging all foreign residents as well.
